Karachi, December 15: FPCCI's Standing Committee on CNG and Pak-Qatar General Takaful have signed an MOU according to which all members of FPCCI committee on CNG and All Pakistan CNG Association would  be provided with an option of having Fire Takaful coverage through Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited with very affordable financial options.
 
The agreement was signed by Shabbir H. Sulemanjee Chairman FPCCI Standing Committee on CNG and vice chairman All Pakistan CNG Association Sindh Zone and Rohail Alikhan Deputy Chief Executive officer of Pak-Qatar General Takaful Ltd.
 
According to this MOU, Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited would provide Fire Takaful coverage to the CNG stations across the country.  It will be a non-compulsory scheme where members of FPCCI’s Standing Committee on CNG and All Pakistan CNG Association would be given a choice to take the Takaful coverage according to their needs. 
 
Both CNG stations owners & PQGTL will immensely benefit from the scheme, as Takaful being Shariah compliant tool of mitigating risk would be a preferred way of protection of their stations from fire incidents.
 
Present on the occasion were Mr. M. Vaqaruddin CEO Pak-Qatar General Takaful, Sultan Ahmed Chawla President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industries, Ghayas Abdul Paracha Central Chairman, All Pakistan CNG Association and Junaid Ismail Makda Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association Sindh Zone.
