Dubai Islamic Bank donates AED 4 million to support Dar Al Bar Society projects

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) announced today that it has donated AED 4 million to support the Dar Al Bar Society projects.

The donation was made in the presence of Mohammed Saeed Al Shari, Executive Vice President, Finance, DIB; Ahmed Khalfan bin Khirbash, Senior Vice President, DIB; and Hisham Al Hashimi, Head of projects, Dar Al Bar Society.

Mohammed Saeed Al Shari said: “This donation signals DIB’s commitment to local and regional charities and reflects our belief in supporting the Takaful concept in the UAE community. DIB has always been at the forefront of support of social causes here.”

He added: “DIB recognises the great value of Dar Al Bar Society activities in the charity field. The organisation is also active in spreading awareness among inmates in the country, as well as organising educational programmes for various communities. Many families and students have benefited from Dar Al Bar projects, including a food distribution programme that was implemented last year.“

He concluded: “DIB’s vision meets the organisation’s plan in extending its charity activities to cover all the emirates in the UAE and other countries in the region.”
