HSBC Launches Amanah Wealth Management

HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd today became the first in the country to offer a range of Islamic financial planning solutions under the HSBC Amanah Wealth Management scheme.

Managing director Mohamed Ross Mohd Din said the solutions are for individuals looking for opportunities in savings, investment, protection for their assets and wealth distribution.

The products include Takaful (Islamic insurance), Islamic structured investment, Islamic unit trusts, Islamic will writing and Islamic trust services, he said in a statement.

Concurrently, HSBC also launched the HSBC Amanah Islamic Equity-linked Structured Investment-i, a ringgit denominated Islamic structured investment linked to a basket of shares under which the principal amount is fully protected if held to maturity.

The schemes, said the statement, are in line with HSBC Group's aim of making Malaysia the regional hub for HSBC Amanah within the context of the government's aspiration to establish the country as a global Islamic financial hub.
