DUBAI: An international conference on Islamic capital markets, regulations, products and implementation will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from Aug 27 to 29.
The conference will see panellists speaking about the appropriate modalities of cooperation among the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) 57-member states.
They will talk on capacity building concerning the operations and regulations of the capital markets, the OIC said in a statement issued in Jeddah.
The panellists will also share their views on the details of a survey on capacity building to identify the priority subject for potential training programmes among capital market authorities of the OIC member states.
The conference will be organised by OIC's subsidiary organ, the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre, together with the Islamic Research and Training Institute, the Islamic Development Bank, and the Muamalat Institute in Jakarta. - Bernam
