AlHuda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) Jointly organized a Specialized Seminar on “Takaful (Islamic Insurance)” on 4th April, 2007 at ICMAP campus Lahore. The Seminar was attended by a large number of Professionals from Finance, Banking and Insurance industry.

Capt. Jamil Akhtar Khan told that 85 Takaful Companies are operating in the whole world and the number is raising everyday. Takaful is gaining popularity not only in the Muslim World but also in EU and Americas. He thanked the efforts by SECP for setting up a good regulatory environment for takaful in Pakistan. Mr. Jamil said Takaful Pakistan have a complete range of Insurance facilities accordance with Shariah principles.

Mr. Hamad Rasool, told the participants that Islamic Financial System is gaining popularity in Pakistan and the setting-up of Takaful Pakistan Ltd., has brought a lot of strength to this cause erasing the objection by Sharia Boards on Conventional Insurance for Islamic Baking through this valuable facility.

Mr. Hamad also emphasized promotion and awareness of this phenomenon to the large population of Pakistan. He appreciated the efforts by AlHuda – CIBE  in this challenge.

Mirza Munawer Hussain FCMA, Member of the National Council of ICMAP distributed the plaques to the speakers and appreciated the quality learning gained by the participants. Mr Shahzad Ahmad Awan thanked  the speakers on behalf of the branch council
