KFH Global Research named Best Research in Islamic Finance

 

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuwait Finance House Global Research (KFH Global Research) has been named the “Best Research in Islamic Finance” by global funds conference producer Terrapin in its upcoming Master of Islamic Funds Award in November.
Held in conjunction with the Islamic Funds World 2007 to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the awards honour and accord international recognition for excellent performance in the Islamic funds industry. Its judges included Syariah scholars and individuals from the Islamic banking and finance sector.
KFH Group’s managing director Salman Younis said in a statement yesterday: “Our research capabilities allow us to build on this commitment and foster the closer integration of Islamic markets. This award for the world’s first Islamic Banking
Research arm represents another important milestone for KFH Group and the Islamic industry as a whole.”
“As an Islamic financial institution, it is our social responsibility to promote Islamic finance not only in the Middle East but also globally,” Salman added.
KFH Global Research’s chief economist and head Baljeet Kaur Grewal said the group aimed to provide in-depth macro and trend analysis and engaging in knowledge sharing to further advance Islamic financial markets.
“Our approach and research methodologies ensure we match the needs of clients whether they require investment recommendations within global or sector context, or across the capital structure of a single firm,” she said.
KFH Global Research was officially launched on May 14 and has since published several flagship publications, catering to sophisticated investment requirements of debt market participants.
