Banking sector keen to recruit UAE nationals

Firms in the banking sector are keen to recruit UAE national students and are confident that they will be able to meet the emiratisation target set by the ministry.
Companies in the banking sector with over 100 employees must meet a four per cent emiratisation quota annually.
"We have so far received a good outcome of students asking about our summer training programme, as well as students who are looking for part-time jobs," said Rafia Al Abbar, Assistant Manager for Emiratisation at Dubai Islamic Bank.

Speaking on the sidelines of the ninth National Career Exhibition at the Sharjah Expo Centre, Rafia pointed out that the bank receives applications from four students per month seeking part-time jobs and that the demand for employment in the banking industry is at an all-time high.
