Dubai World, DIB and Wipro sign MoU

 

DUBAI — Dubai World, one of the world’s largest holding companies, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), the world’s premier Islamic financial institution, and Wipro Infotech, the India Middle East and Asia Pacific IT business of Wipro Ltd, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic IT services partnership in Dubai.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr. Mohammed Khalfan bin Kharbash, UAE Minister of State for Financial and Industrial Affairs and Chairman of DIB, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai World, and Azim Premji, Chairman of Wipro Ltd.
The agreement was signed in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE official delegation accompanying Shaikh Mohammed and top officials in India. 
The strategic relationship will aim to capitalise on the fast-growing
economy of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates and its requirements for world-class technology solutions infrastructure.
The partnership will provide specialised and integrated solutions that address the needs of business to help organisations leverage leading edge technologies for business improvement and superior customer service. The gamut of services will extend to serve clients from a range of industries including energy and utilities, finance, telecommunications and media.
