About Training
The Republic of Uganda is a landlocked country located in East Africa.Its neighboring countries include Kenya, South Sudan, Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania.Uganda is one of the countries that houses rich ethnic diversity, which includes most of its population speaking three major languages ñ Bantu, Nilotic and Central Sudanic. The total population of Uganda is around 34.5 million with 27 billion USD Gross domestic products (2012).Uganda is a predominantly Christian country with a significant (about 35%) Muslim population. Many countries around the world are tapping into the growing opportunities that Islamic finance and Takaful are bringing especially in terms of employment, products and services. Islamic Finance could provide the perfect opportunity for economic growth in Uganda.The aim of this training is to provide education and trainings to Finance Professional with an additional opportunity for their educational uplift under Islamic financial system so that they can fully avail the growing opportunities provided by Islamic Finance.

Muhammad Zubair Mughal is a passionate and hardworking individual with a strategic vision in Islamic Finance. He is a skilled Islamic Financial professional and keen learner of IslamicBanking &Finance and Islamic Micro Finance with excellent speaking andtraining skills. He has 10 years of strong professional background onIslamic Banking & Finance. He has privileged to develop many IslamicFinance Products which are being utilized in Pakistan, Middle East and Africa. He has alsopresented his research papers on Islamic Finance in manyinternational conferences all around the world.
 
Mufti Aziz Ur Rehman
Manager - Shariah, Mawarid Finance - Dubai
A dynamic Sharia scholar qualified to issue religious edicts (Fatwa).Mufti Aziz Ur Rehman successfully graduated from AAOIFI s Certified Sharia Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) as well as Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA) program. He qualified Mufti from Dar Ul Uloom Akora Khattak of Pakistan, he got specialization in Fiqh Ul Mu amalaatb (with a specialization in Islamic commercial transactions),Iftaand Islamic Law as well a Master in Islamic education from Gomal University. He is also the author of various books.

Azeem Iqbal
Regional Head of FWU AG.
Azeem Iqbal Pirani is the Regional Head for Pakistan at FWU AG. As the main representative for the Munich headquartered company in Pakistan he is responsible for setting up the branch as well as putting in place required agreements to enable it to carry out its business of facilitating BancaTakaful. FWU is presently the largest global distributor of BancaTakaful.
Prior to joining FWU AG Azeem was Head of Marketing & Alternate Distribution at Pak-Qatar Family Takaful, Pakistan's first Family Takaful Operator. Prior to that he was Manager of the Marketing department and Contact Center at Meezan Bank Limited, Pakistan's first and largest dedicated Islamic bank.
On the social front Azeem is one of the founding trustees at Ihsaas Trust. A Shariah compliant microfinance provider which aims to help its brothers and sisters in humanity becomes self-reliant.
Azeem has published a number of articles in the field of Islamic finance and Takaful and is frequently invited to speak on these subjects at various venues including universities and television programs. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance from the Center of Islamic Economics in Pakistan, an MBA in International Business from the University of New Brunswick in Canada, and BBA in Finance from University of Houston in the United States.
