BoP, Pak-Oman Co launch open-end fund

LAHORE - The Bank of Punjab (BoP) and Pak-Oman Asset Management Company Monday co-launched the ‘PO-BoP Advantage Plus Fund’ at a local hotel.
“ We have already solicited an amount of Rs 2.3 billion; hopefully, the subscription of Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the fund on Tuesday and Wednesday will fetch another Rs 700 million,” Ms Hina Ghazanfar, Chief Executive Officer of Pak-Oman Asset Management Company Limited told a news conference.
President BoP, Hamesh Khan was also present on the occasion.
Ms Hina Ghazanfar said that the units of the fund would also be marketed in the member countries of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) i.e. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman
“We are endeavouring to capitalize on all the opportunities available in Oman and Pakistan,” she said.
The Pak Oman Asset Management Company would introduce a spectrum of investment solutions to different profile of the people, she added.
President BoP, Hamesh Khan said that the investment objective of the fund was to provide a stable stream of income with a moderate level of risk by investing in fixed income securities and offering prospects of income and capital growth.
