Bank of Khyber, Malik Exchange sign accord

 

The Bank of Khyber (BoK) and the Malik Exchange Company on Monday signed an agreement to facilitate the people of North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) working in Gulf and Far East in transfer of their remittances to the province.

Malik Exchange Company Chairman Senator Haji Abdul Raziq Khan and Bank of Khyber (BoK) Senior Vice President Arbab Riaz Ahmad signed the agreement on behalf of their institutions. The signing ceremony was held here at the BoK head office.

Speaking on the occasion, BoK Acting Managing Director Qazi Munir-ul-Haq said the bank would encourage and facilitate the inflow of remittances to the province as part of its role in the socio-economic development of the country.

He said the agreement would facilitate the depositors of the bank working in Gulf and Far East in bringing their remittances to the country, adding the agreement would not only facilitate the people of the province in transfer of their remittances to through the network of BoK 22 branches, but would also improve the deposits of the bank.

The Malik Exchange Company is an A rated foreign exchange company has a vast network of offices in Middle East and Fast Regions of the world. The service agreement between the bank and the company would benefit all the tiers, bank, company and expatriates of the province in these two regions.

He said in the light of the agreement, the company would play vital role in speedy and timely transfer of the remittances of overseas Pakistanis. He also appreciated the services of the Malik Exchange and hoped that with mutual agreement with the bank it would further improve its services - PR
