Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) announced today the launch of the seventh round of its training programme “Emarati,” which aims to enhance the banking and professional skills of UAE national graduates.
The programme, which will run for six months, will feature two months of theoretical training at “Afaq Al Marifaa” Centre in collaboration with the UAE National Cadres Development Programme, followed by four months of practical training at various DIB sections and branches.
Rafiaa Al Abaar, Head of Emiratisation Department, DIB Group, , said: “This programme aims at identifying the strengths and capabilities of candidates in the UAE market. It also provides graduates with unique opportunities to familiarise themselves with the banking sector.”
She added: “All students will gain in-depth experience within different divisions of the bank, including customer service, Islamic banking, English-language skills, and management of banking systems and software. The trainees, whose progress will be supervised by the Emiratisation division of the bank, will be placed in positions appropriate to their skills at the conclusion of the programme.”
“The programme comes in line with DIB’s plan to achieve high level of Emiratisation within the bank by end of this year,” she concluded.
